postpunk: No verse, no chorus, just some words about a girl, or heroin.
I wonder if Sixpence None The Richer had ever heard about the heroin rumor. Even though I hated that band, I always gave them props for covering this song and not switching it to “There HE Goes.” Changing lyrics just so the lead singer doesn’t sound like they’re gay has always irked the hell outta me.
I’ve always loved this song.
